Ci Ci's Brownies
BROWNIES
Ci Ci's Pizza Copycat Recipe
1 family size box of Pillsbury's Milk Chocolate Brownie Mix
2 large eggs
1/3 cup of oil
1/4 cup of chocolate syrup
1 cup of melted semi-sweet chocolate chips
powdered sugar (if desired)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, mix the eggs, oil, until combined. Add in half of the brownie mix, stir a few times, then add in the rest. Pour in the chocolate syrup and add the melted chocolate chips, mix, and set aside.
Take a 13x9 metal pan and line the edges with parchment paper, or grease well with cooking spray/butter. Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 21-24 minutes. Use a toothpick to test for doneness (you should test the brownies and keep an eye on them around 15-20 minutes).
Take the brownies out of the oven and put them immediately into the fridge or freezer to cool. This step is imperative because it helps you cut the brownies later and stops the brownies from overcooking in the pan. If overcooked the sides of the brownies get hard and the center loses it's fudginess.
Cut the brownies as desired (a plastic knife works best) and cover with powdered sugar if you wish. They lightly powder the brownies at CiCi's, so I would recommend doing so.
