Acme Bar & Coffee is the shiny new place on the ground floor of the Troika. The chic, stylish ambience and attentive service alone make it worth a visit. The food, most importantly, is good too (at least Wednesday's set meal was). The lunch menu changes daily and for 49RM++ you receive a soup, salad, choice of two mains and a dessert. The soup and salad were both flavoursome and well presented but a little awkward eating out of those mod glass bowls. (Just ask for a side plate to transfer the salad.) Wednesday's mains were a choice of salmon or beef, both again toothsome. The accompaniments too were yummy but it if you're not a fan of deep fried potatoes either in the form of chips or wedges you might not find the main dish filling. Apricot cake with a rich chocolate sauce sweetly completed the meal. I look forward to returning to try some of their other menu items such as their cakes and Sunday brunch which have been praised for being a little out of the ordinary compared to the regular affair found around the city.
